Comforted :)

I'll be honest. The last couple of weeks, I have worried more and more about Jake leaving for his mission as it get closer. But this last Sunday, I received the greatest message of comfort. I was reading through some conference talks, and this really stuck out to me:

"The happiest people I know are not those who find their golden ticket; they are those who, while in pursuit of worthy goals, discover and treasure the beauty and sweetness of the everyday moments. They are the ones who, thread by daily thread, weave a tapestry of gratitude and wonder throughout their lives. These are they who are truly happy."

I was so comforted by this. Although I'll miss my other half incredibly much while he's gone, I have plenty of time to become the woman he deserves. :) I'm working towards my goals. I get to focus on building myself and prepare for my future. But most of all, I'm going to learn to appreciate the beauty of every single day. I have so much to be grateful for. I have no reason to feel bitter about Jake being gone for so long. :) I know this is a little difficult for him, too. But he will have so many things to enjoy while he's out on the Lord's errand.

So, what I'm trying to say is, I'm deciding to be happy. I'm going to work towards my goal (or in other words, I'm gonna wait for Jake to get back so I can marry his face), but I'm also going to enjoy every single day that passes by. I'm going to treasure the beauty and sweetness of the everyday moments.:)
